General Conditions of Rental
Introduction
These General Conditions are provided to ensure clarity, transparency, and a smooth experience for all customers renting a car in Santorini. They apply to every car rental with Romani Santorini Car Rental.
Scope of Application
These General Conditions apply to all car rentals carried out by Romani in Santorini and form part of the rental agreement.
🆔 Driver & License Requirements
Minimum Age
The minimum age to rent a car is 21 years.
Rental Duration
Minimum rental: 1 day. Maximum: No limit.
Driving License
Drivers must hold a valid license for at least 1 year. We accept EU licenses. Non-EU licenses are accepted if written in Latin characters (English alphabet). If not, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is required.
Additional Drivers
Additional drivers are allowed free of charge (must meet same age/license requirements).
🚫 Permitted & Prohibited Use
Permitted Use: Vehicles may be driven only on paved roads.
STRICTLY PROHIBITED
- Driving on dirt roads or off-road terrain.
- Driving on sand or beaches.
- Taking the vehicle off Santorini (without written approval).

Optional Full Insurance (Recommended)
If you choose our Full Insurance package:

- No Credit Card Required
- Zero Liability for the customer
Note on Keys: Lost keys are not covered by any insurance. Replacement costs are the customer's responsibility.
⛽ Fuel Policy
Same to Same. Return the vehicle with the same fuel level as when you picked it up.
💳 Payments
We accept: Cash, Debit Cards, Credit Cards, and PayPal.
📅 Cancellations
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before arrival (100% refund).
✈️ Flight Delays
No extra charge. We track your flight and adjust the pick-up time automatically.
Roadside Assistance (24/7)
We provide 24/7 assistance. If the vehicle fails (mechanical issue), towing and vehicle replacement are free of charge.
Accidents & Emergencies
In case of an accident, contact Romani immediately. We will handle the insurance.

Traffic Fines
Drivers are responsible for traffic violations. We do not charge administrative fees for processing fines.
